Zoë Berger, Principal of Legacy Design + Interiors, has almost 20 years experience in the planning, design and delivery of commercial interior projects in Multi-Family, Hospitality, Mixed-Use, Health and Wellness and Retail. Zoë has collaborated with many nationally known developers to create compelling spaces and fosters an open environment of collaboration and coordination among all team members and consultants on all phases of the project. She is typically responsible for the entire design, documentation and management of the interior scope from programming through construction documents, and through the construction administration phase. Her experience in leading designers and consultants on projects on a national level has produced incredible results.
Zoë is inspired by architecture, art, cultures, furniture styles, textiles and materials from around the world both from the past and present.
Zoë’s design philosophy is simple: focus on quality, not quantity, by selectively engaging in only projects that she believes in! She wants to get to know her clients, understand their vision, and then commit herself and her team to successfully create the design for their tastes and functional needs. She will always be the lead designer on every project team.
In the design process, her skills include: space planning, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documents, specifications and material selections, lighting design and furniture selections. She is also LEED BD+C accredited by the USGBC and can manage LEED projects. By using tools like Revit, AutoCAD and Sketch-Up, she is able to produce an entire set of ID drawings and construction documents, which convey her design.
Zoë has been managing client expectations, team communications and consultants’ collaboration throughout projects for almost 20 years. She provides her clients with a continuous feedback loop throughout the entire project. She conducts all major presentations, client meetings and continuously communicates with consultants and vendors throughout the project in the management of budget and scheduling. Her creative ideation provides critical guidance on the marketing, branding and business development aspects of a project, and she always maintains ongoing, productive client relationships.
